I founded Digital Shoreditch as an industry-led festival and community celebrating and promoting the creative, technical and entrepreneurial talent of London and the UK. Established in 2010 and run to 2015 (when as as well as running a PhD I was also directed over £30M of concurrent products and had no capacity), the festival was a truly collaborative network for thousands of companies and many thousands of individuals from across the digital sectors.
I directed and run the annual multi-week festivals incorporating year-round meetups, conferences with thousands of participants, an annual printed directory of 300+ companies delivered to 10,000+ organisations. Huge virtual art installations, workshops, hackathons, funding competitions and subscription services.
During it’s five years, Digital Shoreditch festival featured over 2,000 speakers and hosted over 40,000 attendees.
